How claims work

Two settlement paths, with straightforward salvage terms.

From loss to settlement

01

Tell us

Report the loss or damage as soon as you reasonably can, with a description of what happened and what was affected.

02

Assessment

The value of the lost or damaged items is assessed against the schedule of equipment held on your policy.

03

Settlement

The claim is settled by repayment or by replacement, whichever applies.

The two settlement paths

Repayment

A direct cash settlement based on the assessed value of the item or items, paid to you.

Replacement

Direct replacement of the lost or damaged equipment with a comparable item.

The salvage condition

Where a physical replacement is issued for damaged goods, the original damaged equipment becomes the property of Bowls Sure under standard salvage processes. This is normal practice in equipment cover and it is stated here so there is no surprise at claim stage.

What to have ready

A claim moves faster when you can describe the set accurately. Proof of ownership, the make and size of the bowls, and any photographs you have all help. If the loss involved theft, a police case number will be required.
